Senior Year

It's that time again! Well, almost. In about 10 days, the new semester starts up.
I'm adapting Puss in Boots for my thesis, and I've got character designs and some suggestions of layout in my boards, but those need more fleshing out. Storyboards themselves are almost done. I'll upload progress here as I go.

I need to quit my job at the grocery store without having it seem like I planned to do so, considering I already gave them a class schedule to schedule around. There's no way I can afford that much time not doing homework this semester, now that they won't let me draw there anymore, oing and the combined hour of transit time to work isn't doing much for it. Plus it's going to get cold soon. I'm not walking half an hour in the cold through Philadelphia at 10 at night.

Demo Reel!

To accompany the Resume a few spots down, here's my demo reel! Delayed slightly due to the fact that I had to re-recompress it.

I want to be able to replace a good chunk of it with independent or interned project excerpts sometime. Only one of the pieces highlighted in this was not done in relation to school.

Raptor Dance: Finalized

The finished version of Raptor Dance! Plus a few internet-based compression issues toward the end, despite being only 80mb. It plays fine off the harddrive and any other computer I drop it on. I like my keyframe translucent raptors in the middle.

Mysophobia

My piece from Junior Animation Workshop (Fall 2007)There's a bunch of little things that I'm pretty pleased with.
I'm happy with my secondary action and the fact that I've figured out how to do camera moves in flash. I'm also kinda proud that I can draw a person from such a weird high angle. Sort of like bird's eye view, but really more like "that rat sitting on top of the light on the cieling" view.

I'm going to make an effort to go back in and fix my perspective problems over the summer.

That obnoxious Frederator Watermark has to go. I'll reupload everything to Veoh later.

Resume

Hey, look! A Resume! Unfortunately I won't have reliable access to the internet again until the start of June.

My Resume can be clicked on to view in a larger and more readable size.

Also, Have a Pencil Test. It's from the end of 2006 but I'm still pretty pleased with it.

Find more videos like this on Channel Frederator RAW

Annoyingly, It cuts off at the end sometimes in the copy I've uploaded to Veoh; it drives me nuts because I really like that spin. The Frederator copy cuts off the mopping at the beginning. I can't win.

Dancing Raptor! Basic Swf

This is my DancingRaptor! animation for the Principle(s) of Animation project. There's the pink keyframey verson, and the silhouette version, In raw Swf file form. Hence poor sound. The latter's through here:
Raptor Dance: Silhoutte by ~ManicDraconis on deviantART

I got Silhouetting as my principle to illustrate for our last project, and so I did the whole thing in..well, silhouette. Yay. I'm actually pretty happy with this. It's actually not complete either, so I'll update it when it is. All it's missing is the aftereffects duplicates (prof's request), credits, and the short explaination of the silhouetting principle.

Obligatory "First Post" first post

So! I'm working on getting an actual website up (it's a work in progress; there's a few kinks to work out and space to buy). But I figure I should have SOME kind of internet-based showcase spot. Thus, this is my stand-in site until I have my site up and running.
I'll but posting up art-stuffs and demo reels and other animations that I think are worthwhile on some level. I'll also post up my resume. And maybe post random thoughts, but I'm inclined to internilize those.
Now to hit up youtube for some serious upload buisness.
